Wisdom
6 "Do not forsake her, and she will
guard you; Love her, and she will watch over you. 7 The beginning of wisdom is: Acquire wisdom; And with all your acquiring, get understanding. 8 Prize her, and she will exalt you; She will honor you if you embrace her.…”
Proverbs 4:6-8 (NIV)

“Ignorance is just too costly…it’s time to get a move on and get serious about getting your degree. And if you can’t go to college get a certificate or training that will change and improve your life. If I can get admitted to the West LA School ofLaw at 62…It’s never too late to learn!”

Leadership: Our organization was founded in May of 1984 by a great woman of faith and compassion. The late Dr. Shirley Mae Fergins accepted the call to the ministry in her early thirties. Not being one to sit, she got busy teaching, preaching and serving in Greater Los Angeles, area. Bringing the Gospel to the sick and shut-in, prisons, and convalescent hospitals she
championed the cause of glorifying God. She would teach, preach and sing to Glorify God as she spread Gospel of Christ. Ignoring gender bias (inside and outside of organized religion) she took the responsibility to incorporate and charter our organization. Securing our status a 501 (c) 3 nonprofit not for profit (IRS) charitable organization. This would further insure that funds collected by the organization would not be for any one persons gain. She set our path for effective and efficient service to and for the people of God.

Scholarship: Ordained a Minister and Evangelist of the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World. She completed studies atthe Aenon Bible College and the Bethany Bible Institute. Actively serving at the Greater Bethany Community Church (then pastor by the late Bishop R. W. McMurray and now theCity of Refuge pastor Bishop Noel Jones). Additional studies:
Completed a certificate program in Nursing (LVN), an Associate in Arts in Liberal Studies at the Compton Community College, Compton, CA., a Bachelor of Science in Organization Leadership, entered the Graduate Degree Program for a Master of Education at Biola University in La Mirada, CA, determined to reach a childhood goal she changed directions applying to the University of West Los Angeles School of Law at the age of 62.

Service: Pastor. Evangelist Fergins would accept the call to Pastor after years of faithful service teaching and preaching the gospel of Christ. She was a devout Bible scholar, a life-long learner, a loving and caring wife and mother, and advocate for the underprivileged. She used her innate ability and genius for establishing nonprofit corporations to help several ministries
and worked to help organizations to development, prepare, negotiate and submit required documents and/or forms.

Sing to O Lord, All the Earth!
1 Sing to the LORD a new song; Sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2 Sing to the LORD, bless His name; Proclaim good tidings of His
salvation from day to day.…Psalms 96:1-2
